SEVILLA FC ELIMINATES MANCHESTER UNITED 1 - 2 FROM CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Spanish Football Club SEVILLA FC has eliminated MANCHESTER UNITED from Champions League after winning at "Old Trafford" 1 - 2 ( 2-1 aggregate). Historical moment for the Spaniards; the last time they were in quarter-finals of the "European Cup" was 60 years ago.

Man Utd. - Sevilla FC

Deserved victory for Sevilla FC after displaying more Football than the English team. The locals were very physical the first half looking to get ahead first early. They created chances but were neutralized by a very concentrated Sevilla FC defence. The visitors also had their opportunities via an active Correa, but Manchester United was solid under pressure. Even the first 45 minutes.

The 2ยบ half went to Sevilla FC, as Manchester United dropped their surveillance on Sevilla FC Argentine International midfielder Benega who began comfortably distributing & creating play for his team. Both side began refreshing their squads with changes ( Pogba in for M. Utd) & BEN YADDER for Sevilla FC. This last player turned the match around scoring two quick goals in the 74th & 78th min.

Manchester United attempted to react & nearly pulled it off, with Lukaku missing a sitter in the 82nd min but scoring a goal in the 84th min. Sevilla had another clear chance but De Gea stopped Ben Yadder. In the end Sevilla FC held on & qualified for the next round of Champions.

Tomorrow another Spanish - English Clubs clash when Chelsea FC visits "Camp Nou" to play FC Barcelona.
